The new “Can Strike Anywhere” campaign from Ford lets you see and experience the all new-F-150 Lightning wherever you are. Partnering with Google, Ford launched a three-dimensional, augmented reality experience so you can see all the features and tech of Ford’s truck of the future.
“There is a tremendous amount of intrigue about what electric vehicles can do,” said Suzy Deering, chief marketing officer, Ford Motor Company. “At Ford, we want to show, not just tell since we believe educating customers on the full potential and capabilities of electric vehicles helps them make the transition from traditionally powered vehicles to all-electric ones.”
Ford felt compelled to create the 3D visual experience to help the reservation holders of the F-150 Lightning™ better understand the features and ownership benefits of an electric truck. According to Ford, 80-percent of the drivers who have reserved the innovative truck have not owned an electric vehicle before. This campaign is another tool to highlight the F-150 Lightning including its battery range, towing capabilities, mega power frunk, charging solutions, and connectivity tech in the interior.
Users can also customize the look and feel of the F-150 Lightning with color choice and trim package. Then, they can “see” how the truck performs in the “real world.”
