Here in Iowa, pickup trucks are a popular choice. If you’re thinking about buying one of your own for the first time, we have some tips for you to consider. Then, come visit one of our Motor Inn Auto Group locations throughout the state to get behind the wheel of your favorite model.
Consider how you will use it. Are you planning on using your truck for work, towing, or just your family vehicle? Think about these needs when choosing the powertrain, bed, and cab configurations.
Trucks drive differently. Trucks are a lot bigger and heavier than a sedan or even some SUVs. This means they will handle differently and be harder to park. They also take longer to stop because of their heavier weight.
Do not overbuy. It can be tempting to buy the biggest, toughest truck on the lot. However, if you will realistically never go slogging through mud or tow a fully loaded horse trailer, you don’t need a truck with those capabilities.
Choose options carefully. Perhaps more than any other type of vehicle, trucks are available with a lot of options. Choose features that you need and then see how much room you have in your budget for more luxury and convenience features.
Motor Inn of Spirit Lake is proud to offer short-term car rentals for our customers. Our rental specialists at Motor Inn have compiled a number of reasons to consider renting from a dealership instead of a rental agency.
Know which car you’re
Most rental companies tell you what kind of vehicle you can expect to rent, but don’t let you choose exactly what model you will get when you show up. By renting from Motor Inn, you can choose exactly what vehicle you want to drive. This provides certainty when you’re booking your rental and even lets you take an extended test drive before you buy that car.
The maintenance experts at Motor Inn of Spirit Lake are
certified to repair and service the vehicles we rent out to customers, which
means you can worry less about mechanical failures when you’re on the road.
While other rental services are expected to maintain dozens of makes and models
at a non-stop pace, we at Motor Inn take our time and provide thorough service on
all our rentals.
No unexpected charges
Rental agencies are infamous for including unnecessary charges for extras like GPS, satellite radio, and tolls. Additionally, traditional rental counters often work hard to upsell you on redundant insurance policies already covered under your standard auto insurance coverage. At Motor Inn of Spirit Lake, we offer reasonable rental rates without any unexpected charges.
Contact Motor Inn of Spirit Lake if you are looking to rent a car, truck, or SUV.
Autonomous driving and artificial intelligence are no longer
material from science fiction novels – and Toyota is ready to highlight how
much this advancement can improve everyday life.
The Japanese carmaker recently introduced the all-new Toyota LQ Concept Car. Displayed earlier this year at the “Future Expo” special exhibition of the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, this concept car looks to take the bond between car and driver to an entirely new – and more emotional – level.
“With the LQ, we are proud to propose a vehicle that can
deliver a personalized experience, meet each driver’s unique mobility needs,
and build an even stronger bond between car and driver,” said Daisuke Ido, LQ
The Toyota LQ combines automated driving options with “Yui,”
an artificial intelligence-powered interactive agent designed to discover the
driver’s habits, learn from them, and provide a personalized driving experience
for each individual driver. Yui looks to engage the driver in a variety of
ways, including interactive voice communications, lighting, fragrances, air
conditioning, and in-seat functions that reduce stress and increase the
driver’s alertness behind the wheel.
The AI will also choose the music you want to play based on
the driving environment, and will even give you real-time information on topics
you’re interested in. With this driver-focused, emotion-based AI interface,
Toyota is changing the way we think of our vehicles, bringing us into the
future of transportation.
For the ninth consecutive year, the Grand Cherokee has outclassed
every other midsize SUV in the AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards.
Approximately 50,000 new vehicle owners who purchased their
vehicle toward the end of 2018 were surveyed by AutoPacific at the beginning of
2019. People answer questions based on their own opinions of the vehicle after
having driven it for at least 90 days, and the awards are allotted out based on
customer satisfaction per the surveys.
AutoPacific president George Patterson had this to say about the awards: “The Ideal Vehicle Awards recognize vehicles that best meet their owner’s expectations and desires.”
The excellent Jeep® Grand Cherokee quality helps it fare so well in the AutoPacific competition; it is uniquely customizable with four available 4×4 systems and a host of other features suited to both driving on the road and off. Selec-Terrain traction management system is unique in its class and delivers an optimal driving experience across a multitude of terrains.
Receiving awards based solely on customer satisfaction is a
huge honor for Jeep®, and Motor Inn of Spirit Lake is proud to
continue to, as Patterson says, to sell vehicles that are “just right” for
Ram took home big honors at the 2019 AutoPacific Ideal
Vehicle Awards, receiving a duo of wins for the brand – Top Popular Brand and
Top Overall Brand. Equally impressive, the brand’s popular, powerful Ram 1500
received top honors in the full-size pickup category.
The AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards hands out honors to automakers and vehicle models based solely on customer satisfaction via surveys taken by new car and truck owners. According to AutoPacific president George Patterson, “the Ideal Vehicle Awards recognize vehicles that best meet their owner’s expectations and desires … these vehicles are ‘just right’ for their owners.”
Also impressive, the Ram 1500 has made headlines for being
the first full-size pickup to receive recognition as being an IIHS Top Safety
Pick+ when properly equipped with driver assist technologies and adaptive LED
projector headlamps with high-beam assist.
The Ram 1500 is designed to handle tough work. With a
best-in-class towing capacity of 12, 750 pounds when properly equipped, V8 HEMI
powered Ram pickup can handle nearly anything you can put in front of — or
behind — it.
